Data We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your email address, first name, last name, and a securely hashed password. We also store verification and password-reset tokens when needed for account security.
Content you create
We store the content you create and submit through Mutumina, including posts, drafts, and media you attach. This data is used to provide our service (e.g., scheduling, previewing, and publishing to your connected social platforms).
Preferences and settings
We store your preferences, such as posting schedule, timezone, selected social platforms, and optional AI refinement settings.
Usage and technical data
We may collect usage data (e.g., pages visited, features used) and technical data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device type) to improve our service, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations.
AI and Content Processing
Mutumina may use AI to assist with refining or formatting your content when you enable this feature. AI processing is optional and under your control. When used, we may send your content to third-party AI providers under strict data-processing agreements. We do not train external AI models on your content. You can disable AI refinement in your settings.
Payments and Third-Party Processors
If you subscribe to paid features, payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Paystack or similar platforms. We do not store your full card number or full payment credentials. The payment provider collects and processes payment data according to its own privacy policy and applicable regulations (e.g., PCI DSS).
We may receive and store limited payment-related data (e.g., transaction IDs, subscription status, billing email) to manage your account, provide receipts, and handle refunds or disputes.
How We Use Your Data

- Connect your social integrations and publish content as you direct

Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, regulatory, or security purposes.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure storage of tokens, and access controls. Social integration tokens are stored in encrypted form. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and enable available security features.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your profile and disconnect integrations from the dashboard. For other requests, contact us.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process your data on lawful bases such as contract performance, consent, or legitimate interests. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Social Media Integrations
Mutumina integrates with several platforms to help you create, schedule, and publish content. When you connect an account, we receive and store limited data required for the integration to function.
Telegram
Our bot interacts with you on Telegram. We receive and store your Telegram user identifier and messages you send to the bot (including text, images, video, and other media) so we can turn them into drafts and posts. We do not access other Telegram chats or contacts.
LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram
When you connect these platforms via OAuth, we receive and store access tokens (and, where applicable, refresh tokens) so we can publish content on your behalf. We also store platform-specific identifiers (e.g., external user ID, account ID) to maintain the connection. We do not sell, share, or use this data for purposes other than providing our service.
Each platform has its own privacy policy and terms. By connecting an account, you also agree to that platform's terms. You can disconnect an integration at any time from your Mutumina dashboard; we will stop using the tokens and will delete or anonymize stored integration data in accordance with our retention policy.
